CBSA Opens New Cornwall Customs Port
September 10, 2014 — CBSA officials Lisa Janes and Steve MacNaughton made presentations to an audience of proud Canada Border Services staff, political representatives from Cornwall and Akwesasne and the media.
The ribbon cutting marked the opening of the new $14 million facility situated at the base of the new North Channel bridge. The Cornwall port of entry saw over 1.1 million vehicles and 1.6 million travellers last year.
The new facility promises efficient processing of high traffic volumes with its five primary inspection lanes, ensuring economic benefits to the border community.
CBSA asked KAV Productions to provide Press Conference services for the outdoor event which included a sound system, wireless microphones, podium and a media press box.
