A year of major projects and optimism in Cornwall
December 17, 2014 —
What has become an end of year tradition, the 2014 Year in Review event, hosted by Team Cornwall, brought together the business community
to recap the year's achievements. Economic Development officer, Marc Boileau reviewed the major developments across the industrial, commercial and
residential sectors. This year saw the completion of the expanded sewage treatment facility, the hospital and the customs port while the business park
welcomed Evotech and Source Wood. In 2015 we'll see the completion of the new Smart Centres retail development, while the Knox City Centre and Cotton Mill Lofts
will attract new residents.
Guest speaker, and newly appointed chef de mission for the 2016 Olympics, Jean-Luc Brassard, remarked on the common goals shared between Team Canada and Team Cornwall.
“People looking to invest will be impressed how positive people in Cornwall are, and how welcome the community is to outsiders.”
