At a time of the year when the countryside was looking so idyllic, this film-maker couldn’t help but be inspired to capture the amazing rural beauty found in Eastern Ontario. From the Sangsters’ General Store in Bainsville to the historic Wyman farm on the Ottawa River in Chute a Blondeau and tied together with narration by Keith Clingen, the 54 minute documentary is available on DVD as a keepsake for history buffs, or anyone with ties to Glengarry or rural Eastern Ontario.

What is the difference between HD & SD video
Since the early 1990s there has been a gradual transition from Standard Definition 4:3 screen ratio to digital video and an upgraded resolution to improve picture quality on larger screens. The broadcast and streaming standard is now HD (High Definition) in the 16:9 aspect ratio with some providers offering Ultra-HD, 4k or even 8k.

Music Video – Save Your Life
Fire prevention is key to saving lives and property. In an effort to extend its safety message to citizens beyond conventional media, Cornwall Fire Services teamed up with KAV Productions to produce a music video. Using a little humour and some powerful images, the parody “Save Your Life” is based on the Sam Hunt hit, Take Your Time. CFS chief, Pierre Voisine and his firefighters, are using likes and shares on social media to spread the word about having working smoke detectors and planing emergency escapes from homes.

MOH explains newborn screening in 20 languages
About 140,000 babies are born every year in Ontario. Newborn screening is a blood test done shortly after birth to test for treatable diseases that are not usually apparent in the newborn period. KAV worked with NSO and Langu-edge Solutions Inc. to produce a video public service announcement for parents in 20 languages.
